...::: DROME september 2006 NEWS :::... D Respect! Fashion Award @ Mittelmoda

DROME’s interest focuses on exploring innovative instances and experiments in contemporary art, which are examined through an in-depth, cross-cultural approach, always attentive to the visual aspects of each specific artist. Here’s why DROME’s collaboration with MITTELMODA_the fashion award 2006 – of which the magazine became the official and exclusive media partner – has been renewed and sealed with the foundation of a very special award, the DROME Respect! Award. Thanks to the contribution of creative director Stefan Pollak and of fashion editor Valentina Ilardi, DROME will select, among the 28 finalists at the 2006 edition of Mittelmoda, 3 fashion designers who thoroughly reflect the magazine’s spirit < avantgarde + creativity + quality >, and will present their collections in an exclusive fashion spread in its December-February issue, which will be entirely devoted to the intriguing theme of the ‘double.’ The shooting session, which will be made by a leading professional in the field of fashion photography, will be produced by DROME and will be carried out as a veritable art project. The three selected young talents will therefore enjoy an extraordinary exposure both in the world of fashion and in that of contemporary art, i.e. two creative realms that, since its first issue, DROME has always tried to interwine in a bold and intelligent way. 

All three fashion designers will also receive a yearly subscription to DROME.
