LET'S COOKCATERED MEALS and COOKING COURSES
Having a personal cook means getting in touch with Italian cuisine and wine, and learning how to mix different flavours taking into account these two important elements of the Italian culture. Tuscan cuisine has a down-to-earth character and its food has strong, flavourful and naturally genuine flavors. Mix this all with the right wine and you will be half way to understanding the complete concept of Italian cooking. Our chefs love to pass on this kind of knowledge, acquired through their gastronomic education and experience. Beginning with the choice of ingredients with the combining of wines, from the preparation of dishes, to finally getting to the very heart of Italian cuisine: the dinner, the moment of joining together. This is a very important moment for us Italians in which we have the chance to indulge in some of our most hidden pleasures.
COOKING COURSES: let's cook at a private house in Florence with a tour of the fresh local market.
The advanced course lasts 5 days and is especially geared to those who already have a reasonable culinary skill and wish to extend their knowledge. Every day you will learn to prepare one antipasto, one first dish, one second dish with vegetables and a dessert. Special attention will be given to the preparation of fresh pasta and to the choice of wines. The lessons will take place in the morning for five days starting at 9:30, followed by lunch. Total Hours: 25
The 3 day course will give you an interesting panorama of typical Tuscan specialties. You will learn to prepare "crostini", fresh pasta and special desserts such as "cantuccini". The lessons will take place in the morning over 3 days starting at 9:30 followed by lunch. Total Hours: 15
In the 1 day cookery lesson You will learn to prepare typical dishes using seasonal produce: fresh grapes, newly pressed olive oil, local mushrooms and Tuscan black cabbage. Total Hours: 5

WHAT IS INCLUDED:
Fresh food Market Tour.
A three- to four-hour cooking class with a professional chef.
All the ingredients and cooking necessities to prepare the Menu.
TRANSPORTATION to the place where the cooking lesson take place and back to your apartment is not calculated in the price, but we are certainly able to arrange this as an extra service.
NOTES (VERY IMPORTANT):
Starting with the fresh food market tour at 8.30 am, the course finishes around 2:30 pm (lunch included).

CATERING: catered meals and cooking course at a private villa or apartment in Tuscany.Our "catered meals" program - in collaboration with Communicart(www.communicart.it) - which offers some of the most amazing private villas in Tuscany and apartments in Florence, is a high-quality service that can be personalized according to the client’s needs and applies especially to those who choose to spend their vacation renting a private villa or apartment in Tuscany. Our chefs are a couple who have worked together for many years.
The dinner made will not only be prepared but also served. Our chefs can arrive in the Florence, Siena, Arezzo, Pisa and Lucca region but it is very important to know, in advance, if there is the availability to welcome them a few hours ahead of time and to make sure the kitchen is equipped with all the necessities to prepare the dinner. Catered meal fares change according to the number of people.
We have chosen to include wine expenses. Naturally we will provide a good table wine (especially Chianti Classico), and upon specific request of vintage wines, which our chefs will be able to suggest, naturally we will need to add an extra charge for the wine expenses.
We also offer cooking lessons in which those who are interested in the group can participate in the preparation of the meals; afterwards the whole group sits down to enjoy their meal.

RATES Rates are total or per person.
TRAVEL AGENCIES COMMISSION All rates include a 10% agency commission that will be payed via money transfer or cheque 30 days after the client’s date of arrival.
TAILOR MADE HOLIDAYS Let us know if your customer has any special desires for we would be delighted to offer you a customised holiday tailored to your customers needs and wishes. We really want to make sure that when they leave our country, they can take with them not only the memory of our art and culture, but also our warmth and friendship. expenses vary depending on the size of the group, mode of transportation and season.
HOW TO BOOK To book a Secret Tuscany service request our booking form and send it back to us by fax.
TERMS & CONDITIONS We can book you one of Secret Tuscany’s packages only upon agreement of the itinerary, dates and costs and upon sending us the completed booking form. Upon receipt of the booking form, we will send you a written confirmation with an Invoice / Voucher by fax or by e mail.
BOOKING & PAYMENT Booking is considered valid when the booking form has been sent, followed (within three days) by a deposit equal to 30% of the entire fee. The remaining 70% must be paid within 20 days prior to the arrival date.
CANCELLATION Cancellations must be made in writing at least 20 days prior to the date of your arrival. The deposit is non-refundable, so in case of cancellation, 20 days prior your arrival, Secret Tuscany will refund 70% of the total fee. If cancellation occurs after you have confirmed and paid the total fee (20 days before your arrival date), no refund can be issued.
CANCELLATION BY US Should we need to cancel, we will advise our customer at the earliest date. If, for any reason beyond our control, we are unable to provide you with the tour/s or cooking classes which you have booked, we will refund the full amount paid to us for the tour/s or classes but we shall not be liable for any cancellation charges of other travel arrangements. In unforeseen circumstances, we can occasionally make some changes in the scheduled itinerary.
INSURANCE Please note that all Travel Insurance coverage for travel within Italy, including the departure from and arrival to your place of origin, is your responsibility. While participating in Secret Tuscany activities, our trip /course insurance will cover health, travel and personal accidents as well as baggage loss.
