[19-September-2011]

LONDON, September 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --

Stylus, the international inspiration and design resource, provides the Insider's Guide for buyers and fashion enthusiasts to use during London Fashion Week (September 16 to 21). From what's new to what's chic, the Insider's Guide helps fashion aficionados navigate the hidden gems of London's most inspirational and curated fashion destinations.

"London is the world's leading fashion retail capital - the diverse mix of independent retailers, a plethora of vintage dealers and outstanding flagship and department stores bring together a myriad of talent, creativity and individualism.' says Louise Chidgey, Head of Product & Design, Stylus.

London's famous "villages" offer distinct shopping destinations - from Chelsea and Notting Hill to Mayfair and Primrose Hill, Dalston and Shoreditch - all home to engaging stores that edit their collections with a discerning eye. Stylus' insider knowledge helps the fashionista discover the cutting edge collections to be found off the beaten track.

East London

Stores to look out for are concept space LNCC in Dalston that marries fashion with multi-media, Hostem - the new men's establishment - and the latest APC store for fashion for women and men on Redchurch Street. Mimi in Shoreditch's has been selling classic leather handbags for over a decade and directional fashion brand YMC's store is also worth a visit.

Central London

The iconic Dover Street Market commissions installations and apparel collections from designers from varying fields, while Acne Studio, also in Dover Street, and William Vintage's luxury fashion offer in Marylebone are home to cutting edge fashions.

New stores to look out for include United Nude in Covent Garden whose eco credentials are combined with innovative footwear design, Brazilian flip flop brand Havaianas in Kingly Court, where customers can design their own flip flops, as well as the feted American fashion and accessories designer Tory Burch's new store on New Bond Street.

West London

Westbourne Grove and Ledbury Road in West London are home to lively fashion boutiques such as the new Orlebar Brown, which is inspired by retro poolside chic. Vintage boutique Rellik is near to Portobello Market - is not to be missed and the Westbourne House branch of Paul Smith, uses individual rooms to display aspects of the designer's modern and classic designs. The Shop @ Bluebird, further south, marks a return to the spirit of King's Road on the 1960s and 1970s.
