Radisson Blu Arlandia Hotel Launches Smart Food for the Body and the Mind
BRUSSELS, Belgium, December 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --
Rezidor Hotel Group's Radisson Blu Arlandia Hotel has announced the launch of the meeting concept, Brain Food. Brain Food is a healthy choice of food that not only looks beautiful but also stimulates the mind and ensures a stable blood sugar throughout the day.
To launch the new Brain Food Meeting Concept the hotel Stockholm airport hosted a successful evening with a delicious dinner, entertainment and duty free shopping at the airport. Brain Food is a new type of diet which has been developed by dieticians and nutritionists from several countries. The aim of Brain Food is to ensure optimal conditions for maintaining a high energy level throughout the day. Radisson Blu Hotel's chefs have been participating in workshops with industry experts and, following consultation with these experts, they have been given the creative freedom to convey their interpretation of Brain Food in their hotel and local region.
"We are confident that Brain Food will make conference delegates more motivated and committed. The food we serve provides a stable blood sugar and optimal nutrition to the brain," said Maria Tullberg, CEO of Radisson Blu Arlandia Hotel & Radisson Blu SkyCity Hotel.
"Meeting delegates often have low blood sugar levels after lunch and some event leaders solve this by placing a bowl of sweets on the table. This creates a vicious circle of low and high blood sugar. Our aim is to avoid this by giving delegates a more stable blood sugar and enjoyable taste sensations throughout the day," added Maria Tullberg.
The six principles of Brain Food are:
- A lot of fish, whole grains, fruit and vegetables
- First and foremost, local fresh ingredients
- Pure raw materials with minimal industrial processing
- Less meat with a maximum of 10% fat
- Natural sweeteners and no more than 10% added sugar
- Focus on good taste and satisfied minds.
Radisson Blu Arlandia Hotel is a natural meeting place with 30 meeting rooms, for both large and small events and can host a Arlanda conference of up to 250 delegates. With its ideal location, guests at the hotel Arlanda Airport can arrive by train or plane from all over the country and abroad.
