LONDON, February 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

Congratulations to the lovely Adele for storming the Grammys on Sunday. The gorgeous songstress walked away with six awards, winning every category she was nominated for. We, at Daniel Galvin, are very proud to reveal that Adele's new hairstyle, which she showed off at the Grammy Awards, is courtesy of our Marylebone salon.

Her lighter tones were produced by Senior Colourist Lucy Holbrook who comments: "We decided to colour Adele's hair a honey coloured blonde as it suited her complexion and really brought out the colour of her eyes. This is a perfect hue for those with fair complexions and light coloured eyes and looks beautiful on Adele, whose rosy cheeks and fabulously clear skin are highlighted by the brighter tones. She has a classic English Rose look, so a more ash colour would drain her and it was important to elect a colour with plenty of depth to complement the bouncy voluminous styles that she favours."

Lino Carbosiero, Creative Director at Daniel Galvin, re-styled Adele's hair: "We made Adele's hair shoulder-length and cut a long layer through the back so as to give her a bit of swing & some natural movement.  As she has such thick hair, without the layer any curl or wave would immediately drop out. 'Sophisticated' hair is very in (for example, buns are hugely popular at the moment) so we wanted to create an old classic with a modern twist. With Adele's hair we focussed on producing a modern wave, which is like the old fashioned wave but not so pronounced."
