New Europe-Wide Lottery Set to Launch with €10 Million Jackpot

LONDON, March 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

Lottery fans around the world can enjoy Eurojackpot with WinTrillions

The organisers of Europe's latest multi-national mega-lottery - Eurojackpot - are hoping for to sell 50 million tickets for the first draw on Friday 23rd March and lottery fans around the world will be able to play thanks to  WinTrillions, the world's largest lottery website.

Devised as a rival to the established EuroMillions draw, Eurojackpot will feature a minimum jackpot prize pool of €10 million, rising up to a maximum of €90 million through successive rollover draws. The lottery will be marketed across Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Holland, Slovenia and Sweden and it's expected to be a big hit with the continent's lottery fans.

"We've move quickly to add Eurojackpot to our list of the world's richest national lottery games. The launch of a new international lottery is a rare occurrence, so when it does happen our customers want to be part of it," said Lucy Gold, spokesperson for WinTrillions. "Using our existing network of associates, we're able to offer individual tickets from the day they go on sale, along with a syndicate option for customers who want even more chances to win."

The structure of Eurojackpot will be similar to that of EuroMillions with players choosing 5 numbers from 50 and 2 extra numbers from 8, as opposed to 11 with EuroMillions, meaning that the odds of hitting the jackpot will be substantially enhanced. In order to win the big prize, players will need to correctly match all seven balls and, in addition to the jackpot, there are 11 other prize levels. The lowest prize payout requires 2 main balls and 1 extra number.

"I'm a huge fan of EuroMillions, which I play in a syndicate with WinTrillions, so I can't wait to give Eurojackpot a try," said Leonard Walker, a retired college lecturer from Plymouth, England, who has been a WinTrillions customer since 2009. "I certainly wouldn't mind a share of 10 million Euros and it looks like the winning odds are pretty impressive too. I'm also hoping that the jackpots will grow as the game becomes established."
