Landon IP Awarded USPTO Contract to Perform PCT Searches (Again!)
ALEXANDRIA, Virginia, March 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
Landon IP, Inc. is excited to announce that our relationship with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has been extended with the award of a new ten-year contract to perform Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) searches.
Landon IP participated in the original USPTO PCT search pilot program and was subsequently awarded a full, five-year contract in 2006 to conduct PCT searches in the fields of mechanical engineering, life sciences, physical sciences, and electrical communications. We are the only company to both participate in the pilot and be awarded a full contract.
With the latest award, Landon IP will be taking an expanded role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of PCT searches because we have been awarded searches across all of the USPTO's technology areas. Brad Buehler, Landon IP's Senior Vice President of Contract Management, says, "Landon IP is very pleased with our high-quality performance in support of the PCT search program. We remain committed to continued strong performance and are always raising the bar on ourselves for search quality." CEO David Hunt adds, "We are proud that we have the opportunity to continue to support the USPTO in their efforts to provide quality PCT searches and reduce the backlog of pending national applications."
