On Saturday 14 July Extrema Outdoor  will present its 17th festival at the Aquabest beach. The full Extrema Outdoor 2012  programme has just been released. The world's best known dance artists are coming to perform at this revamped festival: David Guetta, LMFAO, Nero, The Bloody Beetroots, Kevin Saunderson with Inner City, Paul Kalkbrenner, 2ManyDJs, Goldfish and Gregor Salto with Skunk Anansie's singer Skin are all names which now stand proudly on our promotional posters.
At the start of the year Extrema announced that changes were planned for this year's festival. The organisation believes that more live music and more events on and round the podium are the future for today's electronic music festivals. "It will still remain a 100 percent dance festival, but we are going to focus more on live acts and DJs in combination with the show," says Extrema director Marcel Mingers. From this year, the festival will be branded as "XO Live".
Global French superstar David Guetta will be producing his own Dutch show at the dance festival this summer, as will LMFAO and the legendary Kevin Saunderson featuring Inner City. The unique live act Nero is also on the programme and there is a rare opportunity to catch Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano back on their home Dutch turf.
Along with Nero, LMFAO and Kevin Saunderson and his Inner City crew, live acts will also be presented by Goldfish, Gregor Salto and Skunk Anansie's singer Skin, Kraak & Smaak and Elektro Guzzi. There will also be live shows from techno-artists such as Paul Kalkbrenner, Digitaline and genre-pioneer Carl Craig. There will also be something for pure techno-lovers, such as shows from Kenny Larkin and Luciano.
World-famous DJ producer Luciano is bringing a slew of top acts with him to Extrema: a whole area will be set aside for him, entitled Vagabundos. Joost van Bellens also has his own area, the electro concept Rauw. The area will see performances by 2ManyDJs, Gesaffelstein, Brodinski, Riton and Drop The Lime. SAW, the biggest dubstep night out in the South of Holland will also host an area which will include acts such as N-Type, Hatcha and 16bit.
The discounted pre-sales tickets are now sold out, but regular tickets go on sale today costing €64.
