"The new single-player mode offers a great casual game, players can pick it up and improve their guessing skills with an endless stream of Duudles coming their way. At the same time players will hone their drawing skills as they learn new techniques that will improve their success in multi-player games with friends, or random opponents", said Peter Lindgren one of the three creators of Duudle and CEO of VISIARC. "Duudle is cross-platform and supports smartphones and tablets, meaning for example that a Windows Phone 7 powered Nokia Lumia 900 can meet an Android powered Samsung Galaxy Note, just to mention two new devices."
Speedy communication versus artistic expression differentiates Duudle from other drawing and sketching apps. Jotting down the key characteristic strokes first is rewarded with more points, as opponents then can guess the word sooner. Duudle comes with a Facebook connection meaning that a player's friends that also play Duudle automatically appears in their friends list. Winning in Duudle as in any game means bragging rights. It is then handy to know that any Duudle can be replayed and shown, since the creators save all Duudles. As well, to really show off a particular fun or hilarious Duudle, the game allows players to post a Duudle to Facebook.
The original social mobile drawing game Duudle, first saw the light of dawn October 27, 2011, as the grand prize winner, when the creators received the largest cash prize in the history of Hackathon - winning the Nokia Hackathon 2011 after 40 hours of hard coding. Duudle version 1.7 is today generally available for Windows Phone 7 on Windows Marketplace and for Android on Google Play, with a version for Apple's iOS well under way. Duudle is available in English, French and Swedish. Duudle is ad-supported Freemium.
The winning team works for VISIARC, a mobile app and cloud company. VISIARC is headquartered in and operates out of Sweden and is well known with its multi-award-winning "Mobile Documents" cloud app, e.g. voted app-of-the-year 2010.
