eCommerce Leader Shopatron Announces Significant UK Online Sales Growth

SAN LUIS OBISPO, California, April 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Heading into the 2012 Internet World conference in London, Shopatron has announced a 33% increase in same-store sales for its UK clients in Q1 2012 compared to the same quarter in 2011. This increase follows an even more impressive 53% increase in same-store sales in Q4 2011.

Increased revenues and the continued addition of brands to the Shopatron eCommerce platform are a clear result of the company's continued expansion in European markets. Shopatron's UK client-base has grown by 38% from 2010 to 2011. Recent additions to Shopatron's client-base in the UK include world-class brands such as Pilot Pen, Mitsubishi Pencil, and cycling companies like Schwalbe  and Specialized. The increased number of brands and more sales on the Shopatron order exchange means more online sales are being passed to retailers in the UK.
