eviivo Ltd. presents the winners and finalists of the eviivo Gold and Friendliest Awards 2011 - two awards launched last year to recognise and reward the excellence of small, independent accommodation businesses throughout the UK, as voted by their guests.

The eviivo Gold Award and the eviivo Friendliest Award are based on the online reviews from guests who have stayed in the featured accommodation. All properties using eviivo's online booking software are eligible for these awards - all is needed is a minimum of 10 online guest reviews received during the year and the rest is down to the feedback and opinion published by the guests.

Kathryn Glover, eviivo's Commercial Director, said: "Online guest reviews have totally transformed the travel industry and research shows that today, more than 8 out of 10 travellers check reviews before booking a place to stay. Throughout 2011, eviivo collected over 356,300 genuine reviews on behalf of 4,670 properties  and the overall rating score was a staggering 4.4 out of 5!
