CATANIA, Italy, May 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

Neodata Group, a leader in ad-serving and online publisher solutions, today announced the acquisition of Newscurve, a company focused on providing web analytics to power editorial decision making. With this acquisition, Neodata Group will leverage Newscurve's technology to strengthen its cutting-edge editorial suite and move forward with the company's international expansion.

Neodata Group's editorial suite for online publishers utilizes text-mining, semantic analysis and real-time web metrics to provide actionable recommendations to editors, helping them to better engage their readers by matching individuals with the content that will best suit them. While many companies solve individual elements of the optimization and recommendation problem for publishers, Neodata Group has the technology and expertise to marry optimizations for both editorial and advertising needs with its ad.agio ad-server.

"Neodata Group is the ideal organization to expand and leverage the Newscurve technology. They share our passion for innovation, so we're absolutely thrilled with the opportunities that this relationship will create," said Newscurve founder Boris Krstovic. "This is a great time to be a Newscurve customer. With our complementary strengths and Neodata's global capabilities, we provide clients with the broadest range of technology-integrated solutions for the newsroom and the online publishing industry."

"The Newscurve technology adds a vital piece to our editorial suite and considerably accelerates our time to market," said Giovanni Giuffrida, founder and CEO of Neodata Group. "The Newscurve team brings deep expertise in both technology and market knowledge. Furthermore, the Neodata Group, thanks to the Newscurve acquisition, continues its international expansion by opening an Eastern Europe subsidiary in Belgrade at the current Newscurve location."

Earlier this year, Neodata Group raised € 2.5 million in funding from Principia SGR to expand in support of international publishers; today's acquisition marks another major step for the company towards that goal.
