Wealth-X Releases Net Worth For British Royal Line Of Succession
- Combined Wealth Tops US$ 1 Billion
SINGAPORE, June 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Wealth-X, the global UHNW prospecting, intelligence and wealth due diligence firm, has unveiled the net worth of the top 14 adult members of the British royal line of succession.
Her Majesty, the Queen, who is celebrating 60 years on the throne, helms the list with a net worth of at least US$ 510 million. Prince Charles is next with at least US$ 210 million. A distant third is Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, with a modest US$ 19 million. As the net worth figures do not include the possible inheritance of the Crown Jewels and the Royal Collection, only five members of the royal family are ultra high net worth individuals, worth US$ 30 million and above. The following table lists the top five members of the royal line of succession by their net worth.
Mykolas D. Rambus, CEO of Wealth-X explained, "At Wealth-X, we assess individuals on basis of wealth measures and criteria that are recognized and quantifiable. That allows us to produce valuations and net worth figures that are realistic and applicable." On the significance of the data, Mr Rambus noted, "The fact that the combined wealth of the top 14 members only reached US$1 billion reflects what has been suspected for some time: that new wealth is overtaking old wealth in Britain."
