Hertz Expands Unique Gold Choice Program in Europe

Hertz #1 Club Gold members now have the freedom to change their rental car on-the-spot at seven European locations

The Hertz Corporation (NYSE: HTZ), the world's largest general use car rental brand, has extended its Gold Choice program in Europe to its Amsterdam, Munich, Frankfurt, Edinburgh and Birmingham airport locations in addition to Heathrow and Stuttgart. Hertz Gold Choice (http://www.hertz.co.uk/goldchoice) gives Hertz #1 Club Gold members who reserve a compact car or larger the freedom to choose an alternative comparable vehicle at pick up for no extra charge. In addition to the seven European locations, Gold Choice is available at more than 45 major airports in the United States.

If our Hertz #1 Club Gold members spot another car in the Gold Choice area that takes their fancy, then they can whisk it away instead of the car originally booked. With Gold Choice, vehicle reassignment is fast and easy, with a dedicated Gold Choice representative finalizing the switch on the ground. For customers who wish to upgrade their car, there will also be specialty and premium cars available at an additional per day charge.

The Gold Choice program is offered in addition to the legendary "counter bypass" service pioneered by Hertz in 1989 to allow Hertz #1 Club Gold members to go straight to their pre-assigned car at pick up.
