This year, the Red Dot jury, comprised of 40 members, evaluated 4,815 submissions from 53 countries.   The jury tested, discussed and evaluated all products live and on-site, examining each entry according to the following criteria: Degree of innovation, Functionality, Formal quality, Ergonomics, Durability, Symbolic and emotional content, Product periphery, Self-explanatory quality and Ecological compatibility.

Professor Dr Peter Zec, Founder and CEO of Red Dot, informed Insuline Medical that, "the InsuPad has convinced the international expert panel with high design quality and therefore ranks among the winners of this year's competition."

"We are thrilled that the InsuPad has been recognized with a Red Dot Award for international excellence in product design, following the product's IF Award won earlier this year," said Mike Netz, Insuline Medical's CEO.  "The InsuPad was designed to improve the daily lives of diabetes patients around the world, and as such, the overall product design of the InsuPad is an integral part of that goal.  The InsuPad's ease-of-use and non-invasive profile make it easy for users to manage and maintain, almost effortlessly"

Amalia Hershkowitz, Director of Business Development, added, "Thousands of diabetes patients in Germany can attest to the InsuPad's ease of use and the positive impact it has had on their treatment and everyday lifestyle.  We are proud to have partnered with San Francisco-based New Deal Design, led by Gadi Amit, and this recognition is an important affirmation of the product design team's dedicated work."
