[25-January-2016]

LONDON, January 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --

Sightseeing in Sweden's capital Stockholm will become easier than ever with the launch of the new Stockholm Pass (http://www.stockholmpass.com) which aims to provide 'the whole city with one card'.

Offering entry to more than 60 top attractions, monuments and museums, plus a range of boat and bus tours, the Stockholm Pass is the city's most comprehensive ever sightseeing product.  Priced from 595 Swedish Krona (approximately £47) for a one-day adult pass, the Stockholm Pass also includes a free guidebook to help visitors plan their exploration.

The pass works on a simple scan-and-enter system, acting as a ticket into the city's best attractions and tours. Visitors can discover the history and culture of Stockholm while also saving money, as the Stockholm Pass represents a discount on normal attraction and tour prices.

Featured attractions and tours include:

  • The Royal Palace - one of Europe's largest and most regal palaces, and still the official residence of the King, with highlights including the Royal Apartments and three museums steeped in regal history.  Normally priced at SEK160, entry is included with the Stockholm Pass.
  • Vasa Museum - visit the revered King Gustav II Adolf's prize warship, which sank just 1,300 metres into its maiden voyage in 1628 and was only salvaged in the second half of the 20th century.  Normally priced at SEK130, entry is included with the Stockholm Pass.
  • Royal Canal Boat Tour -  an unmissable experience of Stockholm from the water, travelling from the city centre into the DjurgÃ¥rden Canal, with historic buildings, beautiful green spaces and a spectacular city skyline to be enjoyed.  Normally priced at SEK190, the tour is included with the Stockholm Pass.
  • Nobel Museum - learn about the Nobel Prize and its founder Alfred Nobel, together with the stories of the work of many Nobel Laureates.  Normally priced at SEK100, entry is included with the Stockholm Pass.
  • Gröna Lund Tivoli - located on DjurgÃ¥rden island, Sweden's oldest amusement park offers more than 30 rides and attractions, making it the perfect choice for family fun in the city.  Normally priced at SEK110, entry is included with the Stockholm Pass.
  • SkyView  -  step aboard a SkyView gondola for a trip to the top of the world's largest spherical building, the Ericsson Globe  -  with a fantastic view over Stockholm from a height of 425 feet as the reward.  Normally priced at SEK150, entry is included with the Stockholm Pass.

A particularly exciting feature of the Stockholm Pass is a hop-on, hop-off combination bus and boat ticket, normally priced at SEK400, which provides 24 hours of on-the-move sightseeing on a range of bus and boat touring routes.  With stops at many of the city's best-loved sites, this is ideal for visitors who want to see as much as possible in a limited time.

In addition to saving money Stockholm Pass holders also save time, enjoying the convenience of not having to pre-book or queue for tickets at any featured attraction or tour.

The Stockholm Pass is available as a one-, two- three- or five-day purchase, with prices as follows:

1-day Adult Pass: SEK595 (approximately £47)
1-day Child Pass: SEK298 (£24)
2-day Adult Pass: SEK795 (£63)
