AMD annuncia che anche IBMha reso disponibili 3 nuovi server basatisui processori AMD Opteron Quad-Core.

 

Progettati per rispondere alle priorità delle aziende in terminidi efficienza energetica, performance, scalabilità e virtualizzazione, i serverbasati sul processore Quad-Core AMD Opteron messi a punto da IBM offrono unapiattaforma eccellente dal punto di vista dell'ottimizzazione dei consumielettrici e particolarmente adatta per i datacenter più esigenti.

 

IBM ha rinnovato la propria gamma di server rack-mountSystem x basati sul processore AMD Opteron. L'offertainclude il modello x3455, la scelta ideale per applicazioni in campotecnico e finanziario, il sistema x3655per implementazioni che richiedono elevate prestazioni in termini di memoria,come ad esempio database, virtualizzazione e Web serving dinamico, e il server x3755 che fa leva sulla DirectConnect Architecture di AMD per velocizzare calcoli tecnici e scientifici.

 

I clienti enterprise potranno ora scegliere fra 28 piattaforme server OEM basate sul processoreQuad-Core AMD Opteron.
