AMD annuncia oggi alComputex di Taipei, che gli utenti che utilizzeranno la tecnologia ATI PowerXpress™ potranno raddoppiare oaddirittura triplicare le prestazioni dei processori grafici integratiquando il loro notebook è collegatoalla presa di corrente oppure prolungare la durata della batteria di oltreun'ora, quando non collegati.

 

ATI PowerXpress consente agli utenti di notebook di passare manualmente o automaticamente da una schedagrafica discreta ATI Mobility Radeon ™ 3400 HD discreta a al chipsetintegrato M780G con ATI Radeon 3200 HD, senza riavviare il proprio notebook.

 

Fujitsu-Siemens sarà il primo produttore di notebook, arilasciare sistemi dotati della tecnologia ATI PowerXpress.

ATI PowerXpress Now Delivering Increased Graphics Performance

and Energy Efficiency to Notebook Consumers

Computex, TAIPEI — June 4, 2008 — AMD (NYSE:AMD) today announced that ATIPowerXpress™ users can double or triple the performance of the integratedgraphics processor1 when plugged into a wall socket or extend theirbattery life by over an hour while on the go2. Previously announcedearlier this year as a variant of ATI Hybrid Graphics Technology for notebookcomputers, ATI PowerXpress allows notebook users to manually or automaticallyswitch between an ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 3400 series discrete graphicsprocessor and an integrated AMD M780G with ATI Radeon™ HD 3200 graphicswithout rebooting their notebook. ATI PowerXpress features can also beaccessible and user configurable via the Catalyst™ Control Center.The first notebooks to take advantage of ATI PowerXpress are available fromFujitsu-Siemens Computers.
