AMD Appoints Gustavo Arenas Chief Sales Officer

- Industry veteran will focus on revenue growth and globalcoordination and collaboration between regional sales teams and AMD’stechnology partners -

SUNNYVALE, Calif. — June 19, 2008— AMD (NYSE: AMD) today announced the appointment of AMD Senior VicePresident Gustavo Arenas to AMD chief sales officer, effectiveimmediately.  Reflecting AMD’s commitment to re-architect itsbusiness for sustained profitability, Arenas’ charter includes ensuringcoordination and collaboration among the company’s regional salesorganizations and between those organizations and AMD’s global customers. Arenas reports to the Office of the CEO.

Prior to AMD, Arenas served as corporate vice president and generalmanager for Motorola, where his responsibilities spanned more than thirtyyears.
